Collax Releases Business Server Suite for Linux

Collax has announced the launch of Collax Business Server, a suite of open source applications for security, networking and communications.

Collax Business Server is a Linux-based solution available as a free software license for up to five non-commercial users. It can be scaled for use in small to medium-sized businesses and distributed to branch offices of large enterprises.

Like other Collax appliances, the Business Server suite is a combination of software and hardware that can be used with no Linux knowledge required.

In addition to the release of Collax Business Server, the company also announced the launch Thursday of the Collax Charter Partner Program, which will offer channel partners who sign up by October 31 rebates beyond normal discounts, free technical training, and product support.

Reducing its partners’ dependence on Microsoft products is a key priority for Collax, said CEO Olaf Jacobi.

“With the growing adoption of Linux-based technology, the time is right for an all-in-one solution for the SMB market, which is just what Collax is offering,” added Andi Mann, senior analyst at Enterprise Management Associates.
